Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley was an extremely popular Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was one of the most wealthy and most successful. He starred in the cult classic film Shottas opposite another singer Wyclef Jean. Ky-Mani was signed by Shang Records in 1996 where the first album he put out was like Father Like Son. He recorded a variety of singles such as Judge Not with Patra and Dear Dad (which reached the highest position on the British Reggae Charts) and Who The Cap Fit Remix, and Sensimelia. The majority of them helped contribute to Ky's growing popularity among the younger generation of reggae singers. Ky-Mani collaborated with Praswell from Fugees for Avenue in 1997. The song was a hugely successful cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley appeared at the Midem event (an international music showcase) that was the first time it was held in Miami. In Midem's Cameo Theatre Marley performed a show that was broadcast live on the Caribbean News Agency
